Dictatorship At It's Finest

Hey! Hello! Good Morning Dearest!

So, as you should know. I almost didn't write for today. I have contemplated and just wished that I could just forget about everything. I had a little bit of a meltdown the night before. Which caused me to not sleep very well. I begged myself to stop and think before I started to freak out. But it is hard when it turns out you weren't liking what was happening. You fall into a temporary state of mind where everything but the sad part of your brain has shut down.

That sad pathetic person takes over and ruins your progress. What was an enjoyable conversation soon turned into a sad pity party were you trapped someone else to be apart of. I honestly hate that trait in myself. It is something I picked up in my mid teens. I hate the way I feel when it happens. I am almost completely helpless to it. And I start picking on myself, I start saying sorry so much that my head starts to spin. It is completely ridiculous.

But anyways, yesterday Baby and I wanted to try for a walk yesterday. But because it was minus 3 degrees outside and very very cold with the wind chill. Baby did not want to be outside very long. Even with her cute camo jacket on.

So I went to a Dwight Yoakam concert yesterday. I never really knew any of his songs so it was like walking into a uncharted territory filled with drunk cowpoke and really loud music. It oddly felt like home. Probably because I grew up in the country way of life. Ranching and horses, people in cowboy hats and boots. The plaid and fancy riding shirts and rhinestone shirts and jeans. The smell of cigarettes on peoples breaths. And then those musicians hit the stage. I was mesmerized.

The songs that were being sung brought back childhood memories and the feeling of ease came over me. Except for how loud it was. The starting performance was perfect, she wasn't extremely loud to listen to and I could hear. Her music spoke to me. And obviously it felt current to me.
The main performance was a tad bit too loud and my ears were ringing for two hours afterwards. But it was fun. I had a blast. I never usually stay for the whole performance but I am glad I did. Lovely. It was fantastic.

Now that I've had my fun, I am going to be celebrating my mothers birthday! I am excited to be able to celebrate it with her and my siblings! And one of my siblings had finally made it home last night from being away for a couple months!

Anyways, here is a couple song recommendations~!
"You're Drunk" - Brandy Clark
"Baby Why Not" Dwight Yoakam
